Cheryl Hindera
Cheryl is a native Texan who
graduated from Sharpstown High School. She has earned the following university
degrees: Bachelor of Arts (History) in 1984 from Houston Baptist University;
Doctor of Philosophy (Political Science) in 1990 from Rice University; and
Juris Doctorate in 1998 from Texas Tech University. After a decade teaching
college, she decided to go to law school. She has won awards for her research
in both political science and law. She is the only local attorney who is
allowed to represent defendants on both the Mental Health criminal docket and
the Drug Court docket. That permits her to achieve results for her clients that
other criminal defense attorneys cannot.
John Hindera
John was
born and raised in Iowa, and graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1970. He
was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force in 1975. He has
earned the following university degrees: Bachelor of General Studies (Science)
in 1984 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha; Master of Public
Administration in 1986 from the University of Nebraska; Master of Political
Science in 1989 from the University of Houston; Doctor of Philosophy (Political
Science) in 1990 from the University of Houston; and Juris Doctorate in 2002
from Texas Tech University. He won numerous teaching awards during his time as
a college professor, but law is his true calling. As one local judge put it,
"that guy's going to plead his case no matter what."
